Community Support
Our support team exists to help players, answer questions, and keep Reforged fair and fun for everyone. Support roles are about service, not power—we're here to make your experience better, resolve issues quickly, and maintain a positive community environment.
How Support Works
- Tickets are handled in Discord today. Open a ticket in our Discord server for help with reports, questions, or issues.
- Tickets will move primarily to the website in the coming months. Discord will still be used for notifications and communication, but the main ticketing system will be web-based.
- Support roles are earned through participation and trust over time. We promote players who demonstrate helpfulness, consistency, and good judgment.
Support Roles
Our support structure follows a clear progression based on responsibility and trust.
Guide
Helps players, answers questions, and supports tickets.
Typical Focus:- Helping new players get started
- Clarifying rules and server mechanics
- De-escalating minor conflicts
- Triaging tickets and answering common questions
- Issue bans or kicks
- Spawn items or give unfair advantages
- Investigate raids or cheating allegations
Moderator
Investigates reports and enforces server rules.
Typical Focus:- Reviewing server logs and evidence
- Responding to player reports
- Taking limited enforcement actions (warnings, temp bans)
- Escalating complex cases to Admins
- Monitoring chat and player behavior
- Change server configurations or plugins
- Spawn items or modify player inventories
- "Fix" gameplay outcomes or rewind events
Admin
Full server management and final escalation authority.
Typical Focus:- Managing live server stability, plugin reloads, and escalated server issues
- Handling economy issues and logged reimbursements
- Issuing permanent bans for serious violations
- Monitoring server health and performance
- Making final decisions on complex cases
- Handle day-to-day basic support (unless needed)
- Make unilateral rule changes without discussion
- Own long-term plugin development unless they also hold a development role
Support roles and development roles are separate tracks. Support staff help players, enforce rules, and manage live server issues. Developers work on the technical systems behind Reforged, including plugins, tools, testing, bug fixes, and automation. Some staff members may hold both types of roles, but one does not automatically include the other.
Development Roles
Developer
Builds, fixes, tests, and maintains server plugins and technical systems.
Typical Focus:- Writing and updating plugins
- Fixing bugs in existing systems
- Testing changes before they reach the live server
- Reviewing plugin errors and logs
- Improving staff tools and automation
- Working with Admins when technical issues affect players
- Moderate players by default
- Issue punishments unless they also hold a support role
- Use technical access for personal gameplay advantage
- Make major live-server changes without approval
- Make final rule or discipline decisions
Senior Developer / Technical Admin
Trusted technical lead for higher-risk systems, deployments, and server recovery.
Typical Focus:- Reviewing and approving plugin changes
- Managing plugin deployments and rollbacks
- Coordinating technical fixes with Admins
- Helping design larger server systems
- Maintaining development standards
- Making sure changes are tested, logged, and reversible
- Assisting with serious plugin or server stability issues
- Override server rules or staff structure
- Make unilateral major gameplay changes without discussion
- Control staff permissions unless specifically authorized
- Change monetization, rewards, or economy systems without Owner approval
- Replace the Owner as final decision-maker
Getting Involved
Guide is an entry-level, low-risk role open to almost anyone. We're looking for players who enjoy helping others and want to give back to the community. There's no minimum hour requirement, and you can step away anytime—we understand that life comes first.
What we expect: Be helpful, consistent, and calm. Treat everyone with respect. Use good judgment. Follow our rules and guidelines. That's it.
Promotions to Moderator or Admin are based on demonstrated trust, participation, and capability over time. There are no guarantees, but if you're doing great work and interested in more responsibility, we'll notice.
