This page includes 16 primary guides that cover most of the key gameplay mechanics, but it’s not a complete list. New features, plugins, and systems are added frequently, so check back often for updates.
If you have questions, suggestions, or need clarification on anything, we highly encourage you to join the Reforged Discord. Our community and staff are active, friendly, and always happy to help.
Whether you're just starting out or you're a returning veteran, take a few minutes to explore these guides. A little knowledge can make the difference between surviving — and thriving — in the world of Reforged.

PVP Zones & Events
Some areas of the world are combat-enabled. When you cross into these zones, full PVP rules apply until you leave and the short buffer expires.
PVP Zones
- PVP zones are indicated with a subtle grey “bubble” boundary.
- On entry, your HUD icon near the toolbar switches to a PVP indicator.
- On exit, there’s a brief grace period where you can still be attacked before PVE protection returns.
Temporary PVP Events (≈10 minutes)
These events create short-term PVP bubbles around the objective:
- Attack Helicopter crash sites
- Cargo Plane crash events
- Daily server-spawned supply drops
Always-On PVP Monuments
The following locations are permanently PVP. Enter prepared:
- Airfield
- Cargo Ship
- Giant Excavator
- HQM Quarry
- Large Oil Rig
- Launch Site
- Sulfur Quarry
- Water Treatment Plant
-
The Purge
On the last Wednesday before the monthly wipe, Reforged switches to full PVP until wipe. Read this carefully so you’re ready.
Global Rules During Purge
- All bases are raidable and players can be killed anywhere except safe zones and the main Town TP building.
- Backpacks drop on death. No items are blacklisted from backpacks.
- Traps and turrets may be exposed starting the day before Purge (announced by the server above the toolbar).
- Plugins that affect PVP fairness are disabled (e.g.,
/remove, bulk base upgrading, skipnight, etc.).
Raiding Etiquette & Limits
- Raids should be one clan vs. the compound.
- Other players/clans may counter-raid, but multiple clans should not raid a base together unless the base owner approves.
- Offlining is allowed during Purge.
- Foundation wiping is allowed during Purge.
Wipe-Day Extras
- On wipe-day morning, combat minis and rocket MP5s are enabled. Goal: leave no sleepers or bases!
If You Log In Late
- If you arrive after Purge starts and find your base raided, hang tight — use the SAR Purge Kit available every 15 minutes.
Tips
- Have fun — this is the time to test your PVP and raid skills.
- Don’t stress about losses; treat Purge as a learning run.
- Note weaknesses in your base (or clever turret placements in others) to improve your next build.
-
Server Wipe
Reforged follows the official Facepunch forced wipe schedule — the first Thursday of every month around 2 PM EST. This keeps the world fresh and performance balanced.
What Resets Each Wipe
- RP (Reward Points) reset and do not carry over.
- Skill Tree levels and XP reset with every wipe.
- Blueprints are wiped monthly.
What Persists Between Wipes
- VIP status is permanent and does not reset.
-
Name colors purchased via
/sremain active. - Custom titles earned through playtime milestones remain unlocked.
Pre-Wipe Purge
Every month, on the Wednesday before wipe day, the server enters Purge mode — full PVP, no base protection. This event runs until wipe time.
-
48-Hour Raid Protection
Reforged provides a 48-hour raid protection window to give active players time to build and maintain their bases safely. This system encourages consistent play while keeping the world dynamic.
Protection Rules
- All player bases are protected from damage for 48 hours after the player (or any clan member) last logs in.
- Twig structures are never protected and can be destroyed at any time. Upgrade your twig immediately after building.
- Clanmates can refresh the 48-hour timer for all shared bases by logging in.
- Once a player (and all clanmates) have been offline for 48 hours, the base becomes unprotected and raidable.
- If you can’t play regularly, consider joining a clan with active players or trying our dedicated PVE server for extended safety.
Status Messages
- Protected bases show a “Protected” message when taking damage.
- Unprotected bases show a “Unprotected” message and can be freely raided.
- While a base is being raided, if a clan member logs in, protection resets for another 48 hours.
Additional Notes
- Sleeping players can always be killed by anyone within TC authorization range.
- Don’t leave items in abandoned bases. Remove the TC and clear sleepers properly — don’t leave doors or loot behind.
- Do not build onto abandoned bases or attempt to live out of them.
-
